On the 12th February 2015  I am heading out to climb all 19,341 feet (5895 metres) of  the highest free-standing mountain in the world, and the tallest mountain in Africa,  Mount Kilimanjaro.  It will take me 7 full days (5 to climb up and 2 to come down) in temperatures ranging from plus 35 as I begin the ascent  to possibly minus 30 degrees  on summit night !   I will be camping along the whole route and really roughing it, as there are no washing facilities or proper toilets till I get back to the lodge.  Please donate whatever you can to help support the wonderful work the NSPCC does.
